Fast Crafts – Christmas Tea Towels

It’s never too early to start your Christmas sewing, whether it is for gifts or to brighten up your own home during the festivities.

Materials:

1. AccuQuilt GO! Big, GO!, GO! Baby or GO! Me Fabric Cutter
2. AQ55097 GO! Cupcake die
3. AQ55333 GO! Owl die
4. AQ55675 GO! Owl Accessories die
5. GO! Reindeer Cupcake Embroidery by V-stitch Designs
6. GO! Snowman Cupcake Embroidery by V-Stitch Designs
7. GO! Santa Cupcake Embroidery by V-Stitch Designs
8. AccuQuilt GO! Cutting Mat 6” x 12” and 6” x 6”
9. 3 Purchased Tea Towels
10. Embroidery machine – we used a PFAFF for this project
11. Fabric for applique with fusible web attached
12. Embroidery threads to match
13. Tearaway stabiliser

HINT: When using my PFAFF sewing machine, I love to use my Metal Hoop. The Metal hoop not only allows for quick and easy hooping, the fabric, is not damaged in the process. You can also use your iron without the fear of melting or damaging your hoop

Reindeer Cupcake:

1. Set your sewing machine to embroidery mode as per instructions.
2. Using AQ55097 GO! Cupcake die, cut 1 x cupcake bottom and 1 x cupcake top rounded from fabric.
3. Using AQ55675 GO! Owl Accessories die, cut 2 x antler/feet.
4. Mark the placement position of your die on your tea towel. Hoop with tearaway with your preferred method.
5. Attach hoop to your machine and follow instructions included with the design to embroider.
6. Once completed, remove from machine and hoop. Tidy up any loose threads and remove excess tearaway.
7. Enjoy using your new Reindeer Cupcake Tea Towel.

Snowman Cupcake:

1. Set your sewing machine to embroidery mode as per instructions.
2. Using AQ55097 GO! Cupcake die, cut 1 x cupcake bottom and 1 x cupcake top rounded from fabric.
3. Using AQ55333 GO! Owl die, cut out 1x 1 3/8” circle.
4. Mark the placement position of your die on your tea towel. Hoop with tearaway with your preferred method.
5. Attach hoop to your machine and follow instructions included with the design to embroider.
6. Once completed, remove from machine and hoop. Tidy up any loose threads and remove tearaway.
7. Enjoy using your new Snowman Cupcake Tea Towel.

Santa Cupcake:

1. Set your sewing machine to embroidery mode as per instructions
2. Using AQ55097 GO! Cupcake die, cut 1 x cupcake bottom and 1 x cupcake top rounded from fabric.
3. Mark the placement position of your die on your tea towel. Hoop with tearaway with your preferred method.
4. Attach hoop to your machine and follow instructions included with the design to embroider.
5. Once completed, remove from machine and hoop. Tidy up any loose threads and remove tearaway.
6. Enjoy using your new Santa Cupcake Tea Towel.
