How to Die Cut 3-Colour Nine Patch Star Blocks:
For best results, position your fabric along the lengthwise grain (straight of grain) as it passes under the roller. Tip: This die is specially designed to cut one complete 3-colour 9" finished block in a single pass through the cutter.
Fabric Colour 1:
- Cut three 2½" x 4½" rectangles. Place over shapes A and cut six shapes. (One extra shape remains—set aside for your next block.)
- Cut four 3⅜" squares. Place over shape C and cut four shapes.
- Cut two 2½" x 4½" rectangles. Place over shapes A and cut four shapes.
- Cut four 5½" x 4½" rectangles. Place two rectangles right side up and two rectangles right side down over shapes D.
- Cut four D pieces right side up and four D pieces right side down.
- Cut four 5½" x 3¼" rectangles. Place over shape B and cut four shapes.

- Some fabrics may leave a thread or two where die blades meet — snip with scissors.
- Blades on some dies are angled; align fabric to the edge of the shape, not the die board.
- Use good-quality fabric to reduce stretching.
- Test-cut one shape before cutting multiple pieces to ensure correct fabric orientation.
