How to Die Cut a 4-Colour New York Beauty Block:
For best results, position your fabric along the lengthwise grain (straight of grain) as it passes under the roller. Tip: The die is specially designed to cut one complete 4-colour, 9" finished block in a single pass through the cutter.
Fabric Colour 1:
- Cut a 10" square.
- Place over shapes A and B. Cut 1 of each.
Fabric Colour 2:
- Cut a 5½" square.
- Place over shape D. Cut 1.
Fabric Colour 3:
- Cut a 2½" x Width of Fabric (WOF) strip.
- Fanfold into 4⅛" lengths over shape G. Cut 5.
Fabric Colour 4:
- Cut a 10" square. Place over shapes C, E, and F.
- Cut a 3½" x 3¾" rectangle and place right side down on shape E.
- Cut three 4" x 3¾" rectangles and place over shape F.
- Cut 1 shape C, 1 mirrored set of shape E, and 4 shapes F.

- Some fabrics may leave a thread or two where the die blades meet — snip with scissors.
- Blades on some dies are angled; align fabric to the edge of the shape, not the die board.
