Die Tips:
  • With some fabrics, after cutting, a thread or two will remain where die blades meet. Snip threads with scissors.
  • Use cutting mats that matches size of each die.
  • For best results, cut with die blades running under roller at an angle. Do not cut with blades parallel to roller.
  • Blades on some dies are positioned at an angle. Align fabric to edge of shape, not edge of die board.
  • Some dies feature specially designed corners to aid in alignment and pre-cutting.
  • For fast appliqué, apply fusible web to fabrics, then cut shapes with dies.
  • Use good quality fabric to reduce fabric stretch.
  • It’s always a good idea to test cut one shape before cutting many shapes to ensure fabric orientation is correct.

I have purchased 5 dies in the last couple of weeks and some were the new BOB’s. I’ve gotten one made up which was the Le Moyne star and it was perfect. I consider myself pretty good at cutting fabric….but was so surprised when I put them together how there were NO ISSUES! Obviously I don’t cut as good as I think I do LOL! These dies are so excellent to use. Precise cutting, dog ears removed, and talk about a time saver! As we have our own business my free time is rare, and I have to do everything in increments. To cut and sew on the same day was mindblowingly wonderful for me!! Thank you for your quick service too as that was super appreciated. Now…which one am I using next..Storm at Sea…and it is just fabulous!!!

Recently purchased some dies on of which was storm at sea, I’m so excited and can’t wait to use it. I’ve wanted to make this quilt for ages but was put off by all the cutting, wow then I found it @#accuquilt 😍 the other ones I purchased were the $20 ones, what a fantastic price. Happy to give them all ***** 👍👍👍👍👍

I just finished my first Storm at Sea flimsy. I’ve been intimidated by this pattern for so long but honestly, the die made it so organised and so easy.

The shapes are laid out in a logical manner that makes cutting and keeping track of colours and shapes so easy. The pattern provided on the accuquilt website gives yardage and colour tips for a lap sized quilt. They have done everything they could to make this a seamless ( see what I did there?) exercise.

I’ve really enjoyed watching the quilt come together and I suspect this will now be my go to pattern when I want to impress! I will definitely get my investment back on this die as it also has options for squares in squares in squares and diamonds in a rectangle.

* To conserve fabric, cover the only shape you want to cut - not the entire board. For asymmetrical shapes, place fabric pattern side up if you want the shape to look exactly like the shape on the die. Place fabric side down if you want the shape to be a mirror image of the shape on the die.

Care and Maintenance:

Use adhesive roller to clean lint and thread from dies. After each use, with the die pick provided with the cutter, remove any threads imbedded between blades and foam. It’s normal for threads to get caught where blades meet in a die. Remove with tweezers or die pick. Die blades never need to be sharpened.

Warranty:

AccuQuilt GO! dies and Studio dies are guaranteed for one year.
