How to Die Cut 3-Colour Spinning L Blocks
For best cutting results, position fabric on the lengthwise grain (straight of grain) as it goes under the roller.
Tip: This die is specially designed to cut one complete 3-colour 9″ finished block in a single pass through the cutter.
Fabric Colour 1:
– Cut four 5½” x 3⅝” rectangles. Place right side up over shape A to cut four shapes.
– Cut a 4″ strip across the width of fabric. Fanfold into 4″ widths. Place over shape B to cut four shapes.
Fabric Colour 2:
– Cut four 6″ x 4¼” rectangles. Place right side up over shapes C and D to cut four of each shape. (There will be extra D shapes — set aside for the next block.)
Fabric Colour 3:
– Cut a 3⅛” strip across the width of fabric. Fanfold into 3⅛” widths. Place over shape E to cut four shapes.

AccuQuilt Benefits
- Cut far more fabric in less time
- Achieve precise, consistent cuts every time – no slipping rulers or errors
- Incredibly easy to use – simply place the die on the cutter, then fabric and mat on top

- Safe to use – no exposed blades near your fingers
Die Cutting Tips
- With some fabrics, a thread or two may remain where die blades meet – simply snip with scissors.
- Some dies have blades positioned at an angle – align fabric with the edge of the shape, not the edge of the die board.
- Use high-quality fabric to minimise stretching.
- Always test cut a single shape before bulk cutting to ensure correct fabric orientation.
