Cutting Instructions:
From the ‘Let’s Get Started’ instructions, you should have cut out the following:
- From main fabric if using strip cutter:
- Cut (3) 20” x Width of Fabric (WOF)
- Using AQ55086 GO! Strip Cutter – 6 ½” (6” Finished), fanfold fabric to cut (9) strips for backing fabric
- From remaining fabric
- Using AQ55017 GO! Strip Cutter – 2½” (” Finished), fanfold these to cut (8) strips for binding.
- Cut (3) 20” x Width of Fabric (WOF)
- Cross cut this fabric as follows:
From the 6 ½” strips previously cut:- Strip 1
- Cut (1) 6 ½” x 30 ½” strip
- Cut (1) 6 ½” x 6 ½” square
- Strip 2
- Cut (1) 6 ½” x 24 ½” strip
- Cut (1) 6 ½” x 12 ½” strip
- Strip 3
- Cut (2) 6 ½” x 18 ½” strips
- Strip 4, 5 & 6
- Cut (3) 6 ½” x 12 ½” strips
- Strip 7
- Cut (2) 6 ½” x 12 ½” strips
- Cut (2) 6 ½” x 6 ½” square
- Strip 8
- Cut (6) 6 ½” x 6 ½” square
- Strip 9
- Cut (3) 6 ½” x 6 ½” square
- Strip 1
Sewing Instructions:
All seams are ¼” unless otherwise specified.
- Following the diagram below, layout the blocks in the order below.
- Selecting the blocks from the first row, sew right sides together in order. Press seams towards the dark fabric blocks. Return to strip to layout.
- Repeat above for the remaining rows.
- Using rows 1 & 2, lay right sides together, matching any seams you can. Sew. Press seam.
- Repeat process until all rows are sewn together. You now have a complete quilt top!
Quilting and Finishing!
- Layer wadding between quilt top and backing.
- Pin or baste layers together.
- Machine quilt as desired.
- Add binding, mitring corners.
